The present invention relates to a lever type connector. A housing (10) forms the appearance and frame of the lever type connector according to the present invention. An internal space (12) is formed inside the housing (10), and a leading end of a terminal (14) is disposed in the internal space (12). A lever (20) is rotatably installed in an outer portion of the housing (10). The lever (20) provides a coupling force for coupling with a counterpart connector according to the principal of the lever. An interlock operation tool (30) is installed through the housing (10) such that one end thereof is disposed in the internal space (12) and the other end thereof protrudes out of the housing (10). The interlock operation tool (30) fastens the lever (20) to an end of the housing (10) to prevent unintentional rotation of the lever (20). An interlock terminal (34) of the interlock operation tool (30) prevents occurrence of spark through an interlock function upon the coupling or de-coupling of a counterpart connector. An interlocking arm (38) which is elastically deformed by the level (20) alone is provided in the interlock operation tool (30). A suspending jaw (40) formed in the interlocking arm (38) is released from a state of being suspended from a suspending rim (19) of the housing (10), by the lever (20). According to the present invention, the lever type connector performs the interlock function and a connector coupling ensuring function due to prevention of rotation of the lever, thereby increasing user convenience and operation reliability. |
