The present invention relates to a method for producing lactide using a solvent. In a second step when the lactide is produced, an ionic liquid is used as a solvent so that the mobility of a reactant is ensured. Then, reaction temperature is decreased and moisture generated during the reaction is absorbed from the ionic liquid, so that the lactide which is weak in the presence of moisture is not decomposed. In addition, the lactide can be continuously produced by continuously adding oligomers. The contamination of a reactor caused by a reaction by-product is minimized by means of the ionic liquid, and a solvent for washing the reactor is not needed. Furthermore, by means of the high boiling point of the ionic liquid, the ionic liquid can be easily collected and recycled. |
