The present invention relates to a chain type molten steel moving apparatus for a siphon between a smelting furnace and a casting furnace of a magnesium strip casting machine capable of allowing molten steel to easily move in a siphon by stirring semi-molten or coagulated remainder in a siphon to move the molten steel between the smelting furnace and the casting furnace of the magnesium strip casting machine. The chain type molten steel moving apparatus for a siphon between a smelting furnace and a casting furnace of a magnesium strip casting machine comprises a siphon tube which includes one side communicated with the smelting furnace and the other side communicated with the casting furnace; a chain installed to move forward and rearward in the siphon tube, the smelting furnace, and the casting furnace; and a chain moving means which moves the chain between the smelting furnace and the casting furnace.
