The device of the present invention improves the thermal efficiency of a tenement living room by reducing the volume using a horizontally extending and retracting insulating sheet material 2. The sheet material may be stored within a compartment 1 attached to a wall and released and extended along guide rails 5. The compartment may have closed (figure 2) and open (figure 3) configurations for stored and released configurations of the sheet material. The guide rails may be positioned above and adjacent to picture rails (4, figure 5) positioned on the walls of the room. |
