<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recognizing a quick response (QR) code and, more particularly, to an apparatus and a method for recognizing a QR code which acquires primary information provided from an existing QR code as well as additional information on a user situation or a user and providing user-customized information. According to the present invention, the apparatus for recognizing a QR code includes a QR code recognizing unit, a first information extracting unit, and a second information extracting unit. The QR code recognizing unit acquires the data in which the QR code is contained. The first information extracting unit decodes the acquired data and extracts first information stored in the QR code. The second information extracting unit extracts relative direction information between the QR code and the QR code recognizing unit from the acquired data.</p> |
