A two way positioning system using visible light communication according to the present invention comprises: multiple visible light transmission modules for transmitting information related to each location in the form of a visible light signal through an emitting unit; a carrier transmission module for transmitting a RF carrier wave; multiple terminals including a visible light reception unit for receiving a visible light signal which is transmitted by one of the visible light transmission modules, a reader unit for recognizing its location using the visible light signal received by the visible light reception unit; and a carrier reception unit for receiving the carrier wave which is transmitted by the carrier transmission module, and an RF transmission unit for transmitting its location information and identification number recognized by the reader unit in the form of an RF carrier signal for the carrier wave using the energy of the carrier wave received by the carrier reception unit; an RF reception module for receiving the RF signal returning from the terminal; and a server for receiving the identification number and location information of the terminal received from the RF reception module.
