An assist handle for a vehicle is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an assist handle for a vehicle comprises a hand grip of which both ends are mounted to be respectively hinged through mounting plates on a headlining, wherein a mounting plate on one side includes a return spring to provide the handgrip with dynamic stability and the mounting plate on the other side includes a damping means to absorb a restoring impulsive force. The damping means includes: a damper insertion unit on which hinge ends for mounting a hinge pin are respectively formed on both sides of the mounting plate on the other side, and which is formed at one side between the hinge ends; a damper which is arranged so that the hinge pin passes through while being inserted into the damper insertion unit, and includes damping ends formed to protrude from one side and the other side of an outer peripheral surface thereof; and a stopper which is formed inside a hinge unit of the hand grip to damp a bidirectional rotating impact by each damping end.
