ALKALI-ACTIVATED CARBON AND ELECTRODE FOR SUPERCAPACITOR USING THE SAMER

摘要

The present invention relates to an activated carbon activated with an alkaline activator and an electrode for a supercapacitor using the same and, more specifically, to an activated carbon which is surface-modified by activating carbon materials with an alkaline activator, and an electrode for a supercapacitor which has excellent electrochemical performance by securing high specific surface area and fine porosity capacity using the same. The present invention has a large specific surface area and a fine porosity capacity to secure a reaction space; a high conductivity and electrochemical stability to reduce a side reaction by providing the activated carbon surface-modified by activating coal-tar pitch with an alkaline activator; is able to be usefully used as an electrode material for a supercapacitor and a secondary battery by manufacturing a high value carbon electrode using the activated carbon which is environmentally friendly; and exhibits excellent stability.
