The present invention relates to a call processing system and a control method thereof. The control method of the call processing system for processing a call between a first terminal connected to a first communication network and a second terminal connected to a second communication network includes: a step of processing call connection between the first terminal and the second terminal according to a call connection request from one of the first terminal and the second terminal; a step in which, during the call connection processing procedure, a media gateway performing codec conversion processing which is necessary in the call between the first terminal and the second terminal sets a downlink port number and then transmits the downlink port number to the call connection processing system; and a step in which a monitoring server acquires the downlink port number transmitted to the call connection processing system from the media gateway and then sets the downlink port number as a monitoring port, and monitors the monitoring port after call connection between the first terminal and the second terminal is achieved, and judges that there is a problem in the codec conversion processing of the media gateway in case there is no packet transmitted from the monitoring port for a fixed time. |
