The present invention relates to a dual clutch transmission and, more specifically, to a dual clutch eight-speed transmission. The dual clutch eight-speed transmission includes: an engine input shaft which receives torque from an engine; a first clutch which selectively connects an engine input shaft with a first input shaft; a second clutch which selectively connects the engine input shaft with a second input shaft coaxially positioned with respect to the first input shaft; first and second output shafts on which a plurality of output gears are arranged to be engaged with a plurality of input gears which are sequentially arranged on the first and second input shafts in a longitudinal direction, respectively; and a third output shaft which is parallel with the second output shaft and is provided with a reverse output gear which is engaged with one of the output gears provided on the second output shaft. The input gears are arranged in an order of a four to six-speed input gear, an eight-speed input gear, and a two-speed input gear, which are coupled to the second input shaft, and a seven-speed input gear, a one-speed input gear, and a three-speed input gear, which are coupled to the first input shaft, from the engine input shaft so as to optimally arrange the input gears and synchros of the multistage dual clutch transmission, thereby minimizing the volume. |
