A synthetic soil product comprises a conditioned sewage sludge material and an aggregate material, wherein the sludge material is conditioned by arranging an amount of sewage sludge to an average depth of less than 1 metre and causing annual rye grass to grow in the sewage sludge. Preferably the aggregate material comprises sand, and the product may further comprise green waste, wood chip material and any known nutrients. Also claimed is a method of providing a conditioned sludge material comprises the steps of arranging an amount of sewage sludge to an average depth of less than 1 metre and causing annual rye grass to grow in the sewage sludge. |
