Disclosed in the present invention is a washing machine using an ultraviolet light emitting diode, capable of performing sterilization and deodorization of the inside of a washing machine without disassembling. The disclosed washing machine using an ultraviolet light emitting diode includes: a drum; a plurality of lifters protruded towards the inside of the drum; and a plurality of ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV LEDs) installed on the end portions of the lifters to sterilize and deodorize laundries transferred to the inside of the drum.
