Disclosed is a compressive wastebasket which comprises: a wastebasket main body having sides, a lower side, and an open upper side; and a cover coupled to the upper side of the wastebasket main body. The cover of the compressive wastebasket according to the present invention includes: a cover main body coupled to the wastebasket main body; and a rotary opening and closing door coupled to the cover main body. Coupling portions between the cover main body and the rotary opening and closing door have magnets respectively so that the cover main body and the rotary opening and closing door can be coupled to each other by the coupling forces of the magnets. When a force stronger than the coupling forces of the magnets are applied to the rotary opening and closing door downwards, the rotary opening and closing door moves down to compress waste housed in the wastebasket main body. According to the present invention, the cover functions as a compressive plate compressing the waste housed in the compressive wastebasket so that the compressive wastebasket can have a simple structure; the magnets are applied to couple the cover main body and the rotary opening and closing door so that the cover functioning as the compressive plate can be easily fixed; and the rotary opening and closing door is applied to the compressive wastebasket so that the compressive wastebasket can be conveniently used. |
