ARMAMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a weapon and, more particularly, to an armament system where interlocked are an image device for detecting a target and an armament device for receiving target related information from the image device and shooting the target, and to an operating method thereof. The armament system comprises: a detachable image photographing unit; at least one armament device which shoots a target; and an image device which is separated from the armament device, photographs the target, calculates a high angle and a turn angle appropriate for the armament device to shoot the target, and transmits the high angle and the turn angle. The armament device calculates a boresight error using both the position of the target calculated by the image photographing unit and the high angle and the turn angle transmitted from the image device, and transmits the boresight error to the image device. The image device transmits the final high angle and the turn angle reflecting the boresight error transmitted from the armament device, to the armament device.
