PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device for a vehicle capable of preventing an enlargement of a seat back, and capable of securing strength of the seat back, while reducing a whiplash injury of an occupant in a rear collision. SOLUTION: This seat device includes a headrest moving mechanism 20 for moving a headrest 22 forward, by rocking a rocking frame 21 by a load generated in response to the backward movement of the occupant in a vehicle rear collision, by supporting the headrest 12 by an upper part of the rocking frame 21 rockably installed in the longitudinal direction to a panel frame 14 of the seat back 11a. The panel frame 14 is provided with a reinforcing bead part 14a of at least a substantially U shape in a front view formed substantially along its peripheral edge part, and the rocking frame 21 of the headrest moving mechanism 20 is rockably arranged up to a position overlapping with the reinforcing bead part 14a in the thickness direction of the seat back 11a in the vehicle rear collision.
