A spindle motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a shaft which includes a body unit and an extension unit which extends from the upper part of the body unit to the outside in the radial direction; a sleeve which supports the shaft to be able to rotate; and a rotor which is synchronized to the shaft and rotates with the shaft and includes a stopper unit facing the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve. The extension unit and the rotor can be coupled to each other in an area externally located from the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve in the radial direction.
