<p>The present invention relates to a head mounted display and a video call method using the same and more particularly, to a head mounted display detecting an image of a user wearing it and a video call method using the same. According to an embodiment for this, a head mounted display (HMD) includes: a display unit outputting an image; a communication unit transmitting and receiving video call image data; a camera unit capturing an image in the front direction of the HMD; and a processor controlling the display unit, the communication unit, and the camera unit. The processor detects an image of a user wearing the HMD from the captured image. The user image includes a camera area of the HMD. A video call interface recognizing a partner′s image from the received video call image data and displaying the partner′s image is provided. The video call interface displays the partner′s image in order to allow the partner′s image to correspond to the position of a camera area of the HMD and transmits a user′s video call image from the captured image.</p> |
