The purpose of the present invention is to provide a brake system capable of preventing brake dragging. A disk brake (21) is designed as a braking device which has an electric parking brake function that is able to maintain a brake state of a vehicle by driving an electric actuator (33). A parking brake control device (19) which controls the electric actuator (33) actuates the electric actuator (33) so as to release the holding of the braking upon determining that the vehicle is in a running state. More specifically, the parking brake control device actuates a rotation/linear motion conversion mechanism (30) by the electric actuator (33) so that the holding of a piston (29) of the disk brake (21) can be released when the velocity of the vehicle stays above 0 km/h for a predetermined period of time.
