A dual mode display-port connector according to the present invention connects a host device and a display device according to the display-port communications rule of a video electronics standards association (VESA), and comprises a host auxiliary connection unit, a display auxiliary connection unit, and a cable. Each of the host auxiliary connection unit and the display auxiliary connection unit comprises a bidirectional conversion unit and a codec for DC balancing. The bidirectional conversion unit converts differential auxiliary signals into single auxiliary signals in one side, and converts the single auxiliary signals into the differential auxiliary signals in the other side. The codec for DC balancing performs the encoding for DC balancing for the single auxiliary signals in the one side and decodes the single auxiliary signals of an encoding result in the other side. |
