Provided is an image processing apparatus for identifying an object of an image captured by an airplane. The image processing apparatus comprises an extracting unit separating a background and a foreground of an input image captured and provided by an airplane and extracting a foreground region from the input image; a creating unit extracting features of the foreground region to create a descriptor; and a searching unit comparing the descriptor with a database to search for information of the object. The image processing apparatus further comprises preprocessing the foreground region to increase easiness and generation accuracy of the descriptor. |
