The present invention relates to an apparatus for protecting an automated teller machine (ATM) against a hook attack and provides the apparatus for protecting the ATM against a hook attack characterized in comprising a cash in/out unit on a door body, wherein a lower portion of the cash in/out unit is extended into the door body to form a protrusion unit, an end of the protrusion unit is processed to have a″>″-like shape, a first inclination plate is attached to a lower inclined surface, a second inclination plate is attached to an upper inclined surface, and an upper end of the protrusion unit is covered with an upper protection plate to prevent a hitch unit from being formed, when a hook intrudes. According to the invention, the ATM is protected from a hook (gaff), which intrudes into a door to break the door, thereby protecting the ATM safely and suppressing theft and robbery attacks. |
