Provided is a positive electrode for an electric energy storage device which has excellent discharge characteristics, preservative properties, and processability regardless of the oxidation state of polyaniline that is a positive electrode active material. The positive electrode in the present invention is a positive electrode for an electric energy storage device which includes polyaniline, and the percentage of oxidized polyaniline in the positive electrode is 0.01-75% with respect to the total amount of the polyaniline.
