The present invention provides an array substrate for a fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device, which includes a gate wire and a data wire formed on a transparent insulating substrate in which a display area having a plurality of pixel regions is defined, wherein the gate wire and the data wire are formed by providing a gate insulating film on the transparent insulating substrate and cross each other to define the pixel regions; a thin transistor formed in each pixel area and connected to the gate and data wires; a first protective layer formed to cover the thin film transistor; and a common electrode formed on lower and upper portions of a second protective layer formed on the first protective layer, wherein the common electrode includes a plurality of first openings which are symmetrical to each other based on a first direction corresponding to each pixel area and a pix electrode including a plurality of second openings formed in each pixel area in the first direction which is a longitudinal direction, wherein the second openings are spaced apart from each other by a constant interval. |
