A method for controlling electricity generation of a vehicle is disclosed. The method comprises a detecting step of detecting information on a corresponding downhill section when a downhill distance is greater than or equal to a first reference distance in a driving path of a vehicle; a first non-load operating step of operating an alternator in a non-load state when a distance between the position of the vehicle and a starting point of the downhill section is less than or equal to a second reference distance; and a cut-in dropping step of dropping the cut-in voltage of a battery to a first voltage when the distance between the position of the vehicle and the starting point of the downhill section is less than or equal to the second reference distance.
