摘要 The present invention relates to a thermoelectric generating apparatus, which lowers the temperature of an engine room to cause nitrogen particles more than oxygen particles to enter a combustion chamber due to expansion of the air, thereby preventing nitrogen oxides from being generated and generating electricity using waste heat. According to the present invention, the thermoelectric generating apparatus generates electricity by being arranged in a vehicle engine, which comprises a combustion chamber, a plurality of exhaust manifolds connected to the combustion chamber, and configured to allow exhaust gas to flow therein, and a merging pipe configured to join the exhaust manifolds and allow the exhaust gas to flow therein. The thermoelectric generating apparatus includes: a first heat sink arranged on the merging pipe, and including a first heat absorption surface to absorb heat from the exhaust gas flowing in the merging pipe, a first heat emission surface to emit the absorbed heat, and a heat absorption pin to radiate heat from the first heat absorption surface to the first heat emission surface; a second heat sink including a second heat absorption surface to absorb heat emitted by the first heat emission surface of the first heat sink, and a heat dissipation pin to emit the absorbed heat to the outside, and a thermoelectric device arranged between the first heat emission surface of the first heat sink and the second heat absorption surface of the second heat sink, and configured to generate electricity using a temperature difference between the first heat emission surface and the second heat absorption surface.
