Disclosed are an apparatus for notifying an operator of a sellout for a multi-vending machine, which can detect a sellout through a merchandise sensing operation, output a voice notification for the merchandise sellout and display a sellout location when a door is opened by an operator so that the operator may easily recognize the sellout and the sellout location, and a method thereof. The disclosed apparatus for notifying an operator of a sellout for a multi-vending machine comprises a sellout sensing unit for sensing merchandise sellout of the multi-vending machine through a merchandise sensing operation when the multi-vending machine is not being sold; a door sensing unit for sensing an open state of a door of the multi-vending machine; a control unit for automatically controlling a merchandise sellout notification based on the opened door sensing result of the door sensing unit and the sellout sensing result of the sellout sensing unit; a sellout notification unit for extracting sellout data from a memory in response to a control of the control unit and converting the extracted sellout data into a voice to output the notification voice about the sellout; and a display unit for displaying the sellout state of the multi-vending machine in response to the control of the control unit. |
