The present invention relates to an apparatus for removing scales on a wire rope comprising a first wire rope moving in one direction, and a second wire rope positioned on the bottom of the first wire rope to move in the opposite direction from the first wire rope. The apparatus for removing scales on a wire rope includes a cleaner installed on a side of the wire rope and having first and second insertion grooves on a side facing the wire rope for respectively inserting the first and second wire ropes. The widths of the first and second insertion grooves are respectively smaller than the diameters of the first and second wire ropes. |
