The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device with a fringe-field switching mode. The liquid crystal display device includes a substrate; a gate wire and a data wire which are formed on the upper part of the substrate and intersect with each other to define pixels; a thin film transistor which is connected to the gate wire and data wire; a planarization film which has a planarization film hole on the upper part of the gate wire; a common electrode formed on the upper part of the planarization film; a pixel electrode which is formed on the upper part of the common electrode and is electrically connected to the thin film transistor; a common electrode protection layer formed between the common electrode and the pixel electrode; and a black matrix formed on the upper part of the common electrode. |
