Disclosed are an apparatus for preventing merchandise from being stolen for a multi-vending machine, which can perform a warning operation against robbery when a merchandise outlet is opened without any sale operations and send a warning message about merchandise robbery to a manager so that the manager can rapidly respond to it, and a method thereof. The disclosed apparatus for preventing merchandise from being stolen for a multi-vending machine comprises a merchandise outlet sensor for sensing whether the merchandise outlet for output merchandise is opened; a control unit for confirming a merchandise sale operating state when the merchandise outlet sensor senses that the merchandise outlet is opened and determining whether a merchandise robbery has been attempted when the sale state is abnormal to generate a control signal in response to the merchandise robbery attempt; and a robbery warning unit for extracting robbery warning data from a memory in response to a control signal generated from the control unit and converting the extracted warning data into a voice to output the warning voice. |
