<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for operating a power steering system is provided to improve turning stability by facilitating steering operation in the steering of a steering wheel. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for operating a power steering system comprises a steering shaft, a column housing, and a steering wheel. The column housing is installed to surround the steering shaft. The steering wheel(10) is coupled on one end of the steering shaft. The steering shaft(20) comprises a steady-state shaft and an offset shaft. One end of the steady-state shaft(21) is installed on the steering wheel and has the same rotation center with the steering wheel. The offset shaft(22) is integrated with the steady-state shaft to have rotation center offset from the rotation center of the steady-state shaft. The column housing(30) comprises a steady-state housing, and an offset housing. The steady-state housing(31) is installed to surround a steady-state shaft. The offset housing(32) is integrated with the steady-state housing.</p> |
