Disclosed is a system for controlling and monitoring airfield light. The system for controlling and monitoring airfield light according to the present invention may include a first controller to transmit a control signal for controlling a plurality of LED airfield light units; a plurality of second controllers connected to the LED airfield light units, respectively, to receive the control signal from the first controller and to control on/off of the LED airfield light units; and the LED airfield light units to drive an LED under control of the second controllers, and to generate and transmit a predetermined pulse to the second controllers according to a failure state of an LED circuit including the LED.
