<p>The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device, and more particularly, to a liquid crystal display device including a touch panel, which is capable of blocking external light. According to the present invention, a first phase difference plate is placed on a liquid crystal panel and a second phase difference plate and a second polarizing plate are placed on a touch panel, so that the reflectivity of external light incident upon the touch panel may be reduced, thereby improving outdoor visibility. Thus, an external contrast ratio may be improved and the screen quality may be prevented from deteriorating due to the visibility deterioration by the reflection of external light. Specifically, there is no need to additionally attach a polarizing plate to a lower portion of the touch panel for blocking external light, so that a thickness of the touch panel may be prevented from being thicker and the transmittance may be prevented from deteriorating. In addition, there is no need to use a high-brightness LED and a luminance improved film due to the transmittance deterioration, so that material cost may be reduced. Further, a touch panel type liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention may provide a narrow viewing angle mode for privacy.</p> |
