Disclosed are a shelf information managing device of a multi vending machine and a method thereof, capable of automatically checking the location and number of shelves if power is applied or a door is closed after the door is opened. The disclosed shelf information managing device of the multi vending machine includes: a door sensing unit which outputs door sensing information by sensing the open and close states of the door; a shelf recognizing unit which recognizes whether a shelf is mounted or not; a shelf location detecting unit which detects the location of the mounted shelf; and a control unit which obtains shelf information through the shelf recognizing unit and the shelf location detecting unit according to the door sensing information or power supply information and controls product sales by comparing the obtained shelf information with previously stored shelf information. |
