Provided is a toner with superior environmental stability, low temperature fixing properties, development durability, and preservation stability. Accordingly, in the present invention, provided is the toner which comprises toner particles with surface layers containing organic silicon polymer. The organic silicon polymer is a polymer obtained by polymerizing a compound with a specific structure. In a mapping measurement using the average thickness Dav. of a surface layer and FIB-TOF-SIMS, a ratio of silicon ions and carbon ions emitted from the toner particles when primary ions are emitted to the surfaces of the toner particles has a specific value. |
