An embodiment of the present invention relates to an electric oil pump system and a control method thereof, in which an electric oil pump is derated or the derating of the electric oil pump is released according to a coil temperature of the electric oil pump, and torque of a transmission is controlled according to whether the electric oil pump is derated or not.
