PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition suitable for an optical compensation film, an optical compensation film which uses the same and is excellent in retardation characteristics, and a method for manufacturing the optical compensation film.SOLUTION: A resin composition contains: 1-40 wt.% of a fumaric acid ester polymer which contains 60-99 wt.% of a cellulose-based resin represented by the general formula (1) as a resin component, 50-100 mol% of a diethyl fumarate residue unit and 0-50 mol% of a fumaric acid monoester residue unit; and further contains 0.01-30 wt.% of an additive having 70-99.99 wt.% of the resin component and an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic hetero ring. In the formula, R, Rand Reach independently represent a hydrogen or an acyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. |
