PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience and energy efficiency of a power supply device utilizing a flywheel.SOLUTION: The power supply device comprises: a flywheel; a casing accommodating the flywheel therein; a motor including a rotor connected to the flywheel and installed inside of the casing; and a generator including a rotor connected to the flywheel and installed inside of the casing. By separating the motor and the generator, even while kinetic energy is supplied to the flywheel, discharging can be performed from the generator to a customer. By integrating components of the power supply device into the casing, when evacuating or filling with specific gas in the casing, a power transmission device such as a magnetic coupling is not required between the flywheel and the motor or the generator and a seal is not required, either. Therefore, an energy loss caused by the seal can be suppressed. As a result, excellent convenience and energy efficiency can be obtained. |
