Provided is a paper money deposit and withdrawal apparatus for a user to conveniently deposit and withdraw paper money. The paper money deposit and withdrawal apparatus comprises a case having a deposit and withdrawal opening where paper is deposited and withdrawn and a movement path inside; a carrier installed to be moved along the movement path and clamping and receiving paper money deposited through the deposit and withdrawal opening or clamping paper money to be withdrawn and returning the money to the deposit and withdrawal opening; a separation and accumulation unit having a separation space in which paper money deposed from the carrier is separated into each sheet; and an accumulation space in which paper money to be withdrawn through the carrier is accumulated; and a rotatory unit rotating the carrier to guide the carrier moved along the movement path to the separation and accumulation unit or to guide the carrier guided to the separation and accumulation unit to the movement path.
