The present invention comprises a tool pod in which a tool is set in a state where the cross section of a shank is positioned at a predetermined position; a tool transfer device for transferring the tool between the tool pod and a shrinkage fit holder fixed on a spindle; a heating device for heating the shrinkage fit holder; and a cooling device for cooling the shrinkage fit holder. The tool transfer device has a tool transfer unit capable of gripping the tool set in the tool pod and inverting the tool upside down while vertically moving the gripped tool. The tool transfer unit determines the position of the tool inside the shrinkage fit holder opened by the heating device in a state where the cross section of the shank of the tool is controlled at a predetermined height after inverting the tool upside down. |
