PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently preventing a marine organism from adhering to a seawater cooling system to which a hydrogen peroxide compound is added.SOLUTION: The present disclosure provides the method of preventing a marine organism from adhering to a seawater cooling system by adding a hydrogen peroxide compound. The adhesion prevention method of the marine organism includes the steps of: detecting a bacterium in a biofilm sampled from the seawater cooling system; and controlling the addition amount and/or addition frequency of the hydrogen peroxide compound to the seawater cooling system using, as an index, the type and/or ratio of the detected bacterium.
