<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic stop/start control device of an internal combustion engine which can make compatible the securement of the favorable traveling performance of a vehicle and the prevention of the deterioration of fuel economy.SOLUTION: The automatic stop/start control device of the internal combustion engine includes, as a control mode related to the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine, an on-traveling automatic stop permission mode for permitting the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine during the traveling of the vehicle, and an on-traveling automatic stop non-permission mode not permitting the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine during the traveling of the vehicle, and permitting the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine at only the stop of the vehicle. The automatic stop/start control device performs control for changing a control mode related to the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine to the on-traveling automatic stop non-permission mode from the on-traveling automatic stop permission mode when it is determined that a status of a road face on which the vehicle travels is a low-friction coefficient road or a bad road, and when it is determined that the status of the road face is returned to a normal road face from the low-friction coefficient road or the bad road, performs control for returning the control mode related to the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine to the on-traveling automatic stop permission mode from the on-traveling automatic stop non-permission mode.</p> |
