PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain desired transmission power for a transmission signal, with a smaller circuit layout area, without increasing power consumption.SOLUTION: A baseband amplifier 6 amplifies a baseband signal BB(I). A baseband amplifier 7 amplifies a baseband signal BB(Q). A quadrature modulation part 3, including two output terminals T3 and T4, performs quadrature modulation with each of the amplified baseband signals. A power amplifier 9 amplifies a high frequency signal, outputted from the output terminal T3. A detector 10 detects a high frequency signal outputted from the output terminal T4. A power control part 12 adjusts gains of each baseband amplifier according to power of the detected high frequency signal.
