<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately determining that jam processing of removing a print medium has performed by using a counter electromotive force generated from a rotation driving source during the jam processing.SOLUTION: A control unit 60 of an image forming apparatus 10 includes an electromotive force detection unit 75 that detects a counter electromotive force generated when a disconnected motor 67 is rotated. When printing paper jammed in a fixing device 19 is pulled out, a heating roller 38 is co-rotated due to a friction force with the printing paper, and thereby the motor 67 is rotated to generate the counter electromotive force. The electromotive force detection unit 75 detects the generation of the counter electromotive force. A CPU 61 of the control unit 60 determines that the removal of the printing paper is performed from the detection of the counter electromotive force.</p> |
