PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of heat introduced from the outside by using heat generated by a shift reaction, in a shift reaction system for carrying out a shift reaction.SOLUTION: Shift reactor 21, 22, 23 are connected in multistage series, and water and exhaust gas from the shift reactor 21, 22, 23 are heat-exchanged in heat exchangers 61, 62, 63 to generate steam from the water. The generated steam is supplied to the shift reactor 21. The exhaust gas from the shift reactor 21 and a raw material gas supplied to the shift reactor 21 are heat-exchanged in a heat exchanger (a preheater 41) to preheat the raw material gas to a predetermined temperature. |
