PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a transfer failure, in an image forming apparatus capable of switching conveyance speed of a paper.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor drum 61, a transfer roller 63 conveying the paper between the transfer roller 63 and the photoreceptor drum 61, to transfer a developer image on the photoreceptor drum 61 to the paper, a transfer bias application device 12 applying a transfer bias to the transfer roller 63, resistance value detection means 13 for detecting a parameter related to humidity in an apparatus body, and a controller 14 controlling conveyance speed of the paper. The controller 14 can selectively execute a first mode for controlling so as to convey the paper at a first conveyance speed and a second mode for controlling so as to convey the paper at a second conveyance speed lower than the first conveyance speed and performs control so as to convey the paper at a third conveyance speed higher than the second conveyance speed, when the second mode is selected and the parameter detected by the resistance value detection means 13 exceeds a predetermined value. |
