PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range switching device of a transmission capable of switching to a parking range without releasing a hand from a shift lever and easily performing visual confirmation that the range of the transmission is the parking range.SOLUTION: The shift lever 10 of the range switching device 2 of a transmission 1 includes a shift lever body 11 and a knob 20. The upper end 12 of the shift lever body 11 and one end 22 of the knob 20 have similar square columnar shapes. The knob 20 is connected to the shift lever body 11 to be rotatable with respect to the shift lever body 11, and the outer peripheral side face 22a of the knob 20 is rotatable between a position on the same plane as that of the outer peripheral side face 12a of the shift lever body 11 and a position shifted from the same plane. The range switching device 2 includes a rotation detection switch 30 for detecting the rotation of the knob 20, and control means 40 for switching the range of the transmission 1 to a parking range. |
