<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector capable of reducing its size.SOLUTION: A position detector 10 includes a first magnet 40 and a second magnet 45 whose width W2 is different from a width W1 of an opening 30 and is smaller than the width W1. That is, the width W1 of the opening 30 and the width W2 of the first magnet 40 and the second magnet 45 do not depend on each other, and are individually and freely set. The width W1 of the opening 30 can be set so as to be small as much as possible with respect to a mold member 55 molding a Hall element 54. In addition, since the width W2 of the first magnet 40 and the second magnet 45 can be set at an optimum width for generating required magnetic flux density, the width W2 is not increased more than necessary. As a result, a size of the position detector 10 can be reduced.</p> |
