<p>Disclosed in the present invention are a detection device and a method thereof. According to an aspect of the present invention, the detection device includes: first to (N-1)^th operation units each of which performs correlated operation between a signal at a position of a received symbol corresponding to an n^th reference cell of a reference symbol and a signal at a position of the received symbol corresponding to a (n+1)^th reference cell of the reference symbol; a first calculation unit which multiplies the result of the position-correlated operation between the n^th reference cell and the (n+1)^th reference cell to the operation result of the n^th operation unit and calculates a first aggregate by adding up all the multiplication results; a second calculation unit which multiplies the results of position-correlated operation between a (N-n-2)^th reference cell and a (N-n-1)^th reference cell and calculates a second aggregate by adding up all the multiplication results; and a determiner which detects a larger value between the real absolute value of the first aggregate and the real absolute value of the second aggregate. N is the total number of reference cells included in the reference symbol, and n is the degree of the reference symbol which meets the condition: 0<=n<=N-2.</p> |
