PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which is downsized, in which an open space is secured around a stored roll sheet, and in which taking-out and replacement of the roll sheet can be easily carried out.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a housing 2 having a roll sheet storage part 10 where a roll sheet R is stored; a printer cover 3 locked during a closing operation; a platen unit 4 having a platen roller 50 for feeding recording paper; and a head unit 5 which has a print head and is combined with the platen unit so as to be separable. To the printer cover, one unit of the platen unit 4 and the head unit 5 is attached, and an operation unit 40 having an operation button and a control board is provided. To the housing, the other unit of both the units is attached, and a release operation member 20 which can be reciprocated between a lock position P1 and a release position and releases lock of the printer cover when moving to the release position, is provided. |
