PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a mechanical width size in a sheet feeder and an image formation apparatus mounting therein the sheet feeder.SOLUTION: A sheet feeder includes: a manual feed tray 67 that can be open or closed to or from a side surface of an image formation apparatus main body 100; a pickup roller 62 supplying a sheet S loaded on the manual feed tray 67 to a next step; and a pickup arm 60 holding the pickup roller 62, and capable of being, together with the pickup roller 62, open or closed to or from the side surface of image formation apparatus main body 100. The pickup arm 60 includes a tip end contact portion 60d provided to protrude upstream of the pickup roller 62 in a sheet transport direction from the manual feed tray 67. If the manual feed tray 67 is rotated upward to be closed and stored in a concave portion 100b on the side surface of the image formation apparatus main body 100, the tip end contact portion 60d contacts an upper surface of the manual feed tray 67, the pickup arm 60 is rotated upward, and the manual feed tray 67 is retreated into the concave portion 100b. |
